Group training that fits between meetings
DeskFlow group sessions are short, structured, and built for mixed fitness levels. No singling out, no competition—just clear cues and optional intensity.
Session formats we run
Express ten: Ideal before all-hands. Breath work, shoulder rolls, hip hinges, and a closing stretch. Participants stay in business casual.
Mobility twenty: Adds walking lunges in place, thoracic rotations, and partner-free balance drills. Works well when a conference room is reserved.
Hybrid circle: In-room attendees form a loose circle while remote colleagues follow on video with verbal-only cues. Chat stays open for questions, not performance scores.
Each format ends with a written recap email: moves practiced, suggested solo homework, and links to our desk exercise library. That documentation helps wellness committees report participation without collecting health data.
How facilitators keep groups inclusive
- Demonstrate seated and standing versions of every move.
- Use time-based intervals instead of “max reps” language.
- Offer microphone checks for remote staff before starting.
- Pause for water and questions at the halfway mark.
Facilitators watch for crowded furniture and adjust spacing. If someone prefers to observe the first session, that is welcome—they still absorb pacing and safety cues for later solo practice.
Health & Safety Guidelines for group work
Confirm ceiling height for arm raises, secure loose cables, and identify a quiet emergency contact in the building. Participants should wear stable footwear; facilitators carry a printed stop signal (“freeze”) if music or chatter gets loud.
We avoid partner assists that pull on joints, jumping, or fast spinal twists. Pregnant team members and anyone returning from injury receive advance copies of moves with modification notes. DeskFlow sessions are educational group activity, not supervised clinical care.

Why teams keep showing up
Group movement works when leadership treats it like any other standing meeting—on the calendar, starting on time, ending on time. Managers who join for the first two minutes normalize participation. HR partners who share photos internally (with consent) build friendly accountability without gamifying steps.
Surveys from occupational health programs often show social support as a top predictor of sticking with workplace activity. DeskFlow leans into that: light humor, names on playlists avoided, and recognition for showing up—not for being the most flexible person in the room.
Pair group sessions with our solo desk library so employees have something to do on non-session days. Consistency across the week matters more than a single heroic class.
